The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has launched a multi-agency investigation to solve a “sinister pattern” of death and disappearances of at least a dozen American scientists, as reported by Fox News Digital.

Sudden disappearances and deaths of notable scientists belonging to sensitive fields, including aerospace engineering, defense research, and nuclear science have raised eyebrows among scientific community and netizens, raising concerns about whether these incidents are just a co-incident or a part of nefarious campaign.

New details regarding the death of NASA nuclear engineer, Joshua LeBlanc, has prompted the FBI to get into the depth of this unsettling matter.

The 29-year-old, who worked on the Space Nuclear Propulsion (SNP) project, considered critical for future Mars missions, was reported missing on July 22, 2025. Later, he was found dead in his burned Tesla after a fiery crash in a rural Alabama town last year.

The vehicle crashed into a guardrail and several trees, before the car burst into flames. However, according to family members, the death was not accidental, in fact it was pre planned.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, the FBI confirmed the agency is working alongside other federal authorities in the investigation into the 11 missing and dead scientists.

“The FBI is spearheading the effort to look for connections into the missing and deceased scientists. We are working with the Department of Energy, Department of War, and with our state and local law enforcement partners to find answers,” the agency said.

Even President Donald Trump raised concerns over this matter, informing reporters, “I hope it’s random, but we’re going to know in the next week and a half. I just left a meeting on that subject.”

Since 2022, around 12 people who were involved in space and nuclear research have either suspiciously gone missing or dead under enigmatic circumstances.

The following five individuals were reported missing under circumstances that law enforcement and families have labeled as suspicious: Monica Reza (60), Melissa Casias (53), Anthony Chavez (79), Steven Garcia (48), and Maj. Gen. William Neil McCasland (68).

During the same period, 6 people were confirmed to be dead under mysterious circumstances.

The recent development comes after an American UFO expert and Ancient Alien star, David Wilcock, died tragically on April 20, 2026.
