Crosby makes history with fifth place in playoff points during Penguins game against Flyers
Crosby now trails only Glenn Anderson, Jari Kurri, Mark Messier and Wayne Gretzky on the all-time list
Sidney Crosby has moved into fifth place on the NHL’s all-time Stanley Cup playoff scoring list, adding another milestone to his career.
The Pittsburgh Penguins captain reached the mark with a first-period assist during Game 3 against the Philadelphia Flyers. The point was his first of the 2026 playoffs and the current series.
Crosby now trails only Glenn Anderson, Jari Kurri, Mark Messier and Wayne Gretzky on the all-time list. Gretzky remains far ahead with 382 playoff points.
The 38-year-old has now recorded 71 goals and 131 assists across 182 postseason games, underlining his consistency at the highest level of the sport.
Crosby has long been regarded as one of the NHL’s elite performers, particularly in the playoffs, as he has led Pittsburgh to three Stanley Cup titles in 2009, 2016 and 2017.
He also claimed back-to-back Conn Smythe trophies as playoff MVP in 2016 and 2017.
