Lil Nas X shares what he 'stopped' during his self-love journey after arrest
Lil Nas X opens up about how he regained confidence in himself after long period of being 'paranoid'
Lil Nas X, whose legal name is Montero Lamar Hill, lifted the lid on his insecurities and his self-love journey in a latest podcast.
Six months before his arrest, the renowned American singe, songwriter, and rapper chatted with TS Madison for the Outlaws podcast in February 2025, which was released as part of iHeartMedia's Outspoken Podcast Network on April 21, 2026.
It captured Nas having an unfiltered conversation regarding his battle with self-doubt, as he said he spent 2024 being “very afraid to move too much or be seen too much.”
The MONTERO hitmaker went on to call himself “paranoid” because he used to believe that “the entire world was against” him.
He shared, “I kind of make that up in my head. I had to really go on a self-love journey again and… really accept every single part of me… and stop trying to force change in myself all the time.”
“We're very obsessed with the idea of growth and change and forcing that and you have to let that s**** come naturally,” the two-time Grammy-winning artist noted.
It is pertinent to mention that Lil Nas X, who was detained on August 21, 2025, for walking in his underwear and cowboy boots, later fully naked, on Ventura Boulevard, abandoned several people during his self-love journey, especially those he worked with.
