Meryl Streep spills the beans about her call with Anna Wintour ahead of 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' release

Meryl Streep has gotten candid about the evolution of her bond with Anna Wintour over the years as the release of The Devil Wears Prada sequel is around the corner.
During a special Front Row sit-down with Andy Cohen on SiriusXM, the 76-year-old icon was joined by returning castmates Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci to discuss the sequel's legacy.
Streep even admitted to relying on her own imagination of leadership and power for curating the iconic personality.
“I just wanted to create my own Miranda,” Streep told the show host while speaking of the 2006 flick.
She further explained, "I wanted to have it be my own thing, and, ‘Who I would be if I were in charge?’”
She went on to reveal that Anna Wintour personally reached out to Meryl Streep to inquire about the sequel shows a level of mutual respect and trust that did not exist 20 years ago.
However, Streep referred to the highly-anticipated sequeld and revealed that Wintour “did call me up and say, ‘What's this going to be like?’” “after I got to know her over the last 20 years.”
Streep shared her reply to Wintour, “‘I think it's going to be good. You're not going to be worried.’"
"And I still feel that way,” she reassured fans before conclusion.
