'The Devil Wears Prada 2' chops Sydney Sweeney buzz-worthy cameo
Sydney Sweeney last year ignited buzz over reports of a cameo in 'The Devil Wears Prada 2’
Last year, there was much buzz after Sydney Sweeney was spotted arriving at The Devil Wears Prada 2 set.
Reports at the time indicated the Euphoria actress filmed a cameo in the hotly anticipated sequel.
Now, ahead of the movie's release, a bombshell report dropped, stating that her scene was cut due to a creative decision.
A source tells Entertainment Weekly that the team behind The Devil Wears Prada 2 made a difficult call to nix the sensational actress scene because it wasn't "fitting" with the movie's flow.
Despite this, the buzz of the fashion movie is unrelenting, as the franchise heavyweights Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt have all returned.
But there are also new faces, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, B.J. Novak, Simone Ashley, Caleb Hearon, Patrick Brammall, Rachel Bloom, and Kenneth Branagh.
The film's logline follows "Miranda Priestly as she navigates the twilight of her career amidst the decline of traditional magazine publishing, forced into a high-stakes standoff with her former assistant Emily Charlton, who now controls the luxury advertising dollars Priestly desperately needs to save Runway."
The Devil Wears Prada 2 rolls out in theatres on May 1.
