"Sarah is living in fear right now"

Former Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson is ‘definitely worried’ about returning home to the UK, a friend has claimed after her whereabouts were revealed.

The Mirror quoted a friend of the former Duchess as saying, "Sarah is living in fear right now. She's not immune to everything that is happening. She realises how serious everything is, and she is not coping with it.”

The close confidant has said that Sarah has not been contacted by any member of the Royal Family since she was unceremoniously stripped of the royal title following Epstein scandal.

The insider said, “She is definitely worried about returning home to the UK and is relying on the kindness of friends to help her through the situation.

“But she knows she can't keep moving around forever. Sarah feels she has been abandoned by the royal family and has been treated very unfairly. She is at a complete loss over what to do.”

The friend’s remarks came a day after the Sun reported Sarah Ferguson has been seen for the first time since her ex-husband, the former Prince Andrew, was arrested in February.

Sarah has been tracked down to a mountain hideaway in the Austrian Alps.

The close insider tells the outlet, “Fergie has been keeping an incredibly low profile while high up in the Alps.

“The area is absolutely beautiful and it’s very quiet most of the time, so it’s the perfect place for a high-profile figure such as her to lie low when the heat is on,” the source added.
