Halle Berry reveals where she stands on marriage with Van Hunt
Halle Berry opens up about her relationship with Van Hunt
Halle Berry is revealing how she feels about the future with Van Hunt.
A source recently spilled the beans on the 59-year-old actress's life, saying Berry feels grounded both personally and professionally.
“Halle’s doing great. She’s very happy with life right now,” the source told People, noting that her daughter Nahla, 17, whom she shares with ex Gabriel Aubry, is preparing to leave for college this fall, while her son Maceo, 12, whom she shares with ex-husband Olivier Martinez, is also doing well.
The insider said this stability also extends to Berry's relationship with musician Van Hunt. “Being in a relationship with Van has been wonderful for Halle. He really gets her and treats her so well. She’s very grateful,” the source revealed.
The Oscar-winning actress, who stars in the upcoming crime thriller Crime 101, also feels deeply supported and understood by her partner.
The source added that while marriage has been discussed between the couple, Berry is not feeling any urgency to formalise the relationship. “They have talked about marriage, but Halle is happy as it is. She wants things to stay the way they are,” the source added.
Hunt revealed in June 2025 that he had proposed, though the couple ultimately decided to put the idea on hold. Berry later addressed the topic publicly, explaining that after multiple marriages, she no longer sees marriage as necessary for validation or security.
On the professional front, Berry remains busy and energised. Alongside Crime 101, she continues developing projects through her production company and is actively involved in her wellness brand, Respin Health. “She enjoys it all,” the source said. “She’s very happy with life right now.”
Crime 101 hits theaters February 13.
