Reba McEntire gets emotional ahead of Brandon Blackstock's Grammys tribute
Reba McEntire calls Grammys tribute to late stepson to be her 'favorite memory'
Reba McEntire is paying a "special" tribute to late stepson Brandon Blackstock at the 2026 Grammys.
During the 2026 Grammy Awards' In Memoriam tribute, the country singer, who was married to Brandon's father, Narvel Blackstock, for more than two decades, will honor the talent manager with a performance of Trailblazer along with Brandy Clark and Lukas Nelson.
She told E! news at the red carpet of the event, "It really is special to me, because my son is one that we're honoring."
Reba went on to share, "He passed away in August, and so Brandon is going to be up on the stage with Brandy, and me, and Lukas, and the two ladies playing the cello and the violin, so it's going to be very special."
The three-time Grammy-winning artist added, "This is going to be my favorite memory."
The 70-year-old artist has always considered Narvel's kids her own, including Brandon's siblings, Chassidy Blackstock and Shawna Blackstock, even after their divorce in 2015.
"I don't consider Brandon, Chassidy and Shawna stepchildren, I claim them all," she said to The Boot in a previous chat in 2010.
For those unversed, Brandon died back in August 2025 after a three-year cancer battle.
