Former Prince Andrew is said to have pushed his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson to reach out to the royal family amid ongoing scandal over their past ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

According to sources, the former Duke of York even pushed Fergie to send what insiders have described as “begging” letters to senior members of the royal family, including King Charles and Queen Camilla.

The source told OK! Magazine that as Andrew struggles to accept the loss of his royal status and prepares to leave Royal Lodge, he has withdrawn from direct contact with royals.

Instead, he made Sarah send letters to them on Christmas, in which she allegedly expressed regret over past events linked to the House of York.

The insider revealed that some of the messages were sent using both their names, giving the impression of a joint appeal.

Speaking of Andrew, the source said, "He's finding it hard to accept the loss of his status. Staff and visitors continue to be deferential, but he still holds on to the notion that he's a prince.”

“Sarah seems to be trying to make up for it in her own way, sending overly personal messages to royals who may not even want them,” they added.

Another senior palace source said, "There's no sign that Andrew has sent any cards to the royals himself. It seems he has withdrawn completely from public-facing correspondence, leaving Sarah to maintain a family-friendly front."
