Meghan Markle under fire as father ‘forces himself to stay positive’
The duchess sent her father a letter after his leg amputation operation
Meghan Markle is reportedly being criticized over estrangement from her family, especially her ailing father, Thomas Markle, who is "forcing himself to stay positive" after a tragic leg amputation.
As per a recent report by Radaronline.com, the 81-year-old is putting on a "very brave face" while her daughter is said to have no plans of reconciliation.
It is pertinent to mention that Thomas went through a life-altering situation when he rushed to a medical center earlier in December after a big blood clot, leading doctors to amputate his left leg below the knee.
Following the surgery, Meghan sent a letter to her father however, the content of the written message between father and daughter has not been revealed.
A source told the outlet, "He's suffering, but he's refusing to let the ordeal defeat him".
"He understands that nothing is likely to change with Meghan, so he's concentrating on his recovery and taking things one day at a time."
"He's forcing himself to stay positive because there's little alternative. He is basically putting a very brave face on his pain and estrangement from Meghan," a second insider added.
Meghan and Thomas' estrangement began during the duchess's nuptials back in 2018 when he staged paparazzi photographs.
