Public delighted to see Beatrice, Eugenie out and about amid Andrew scandal
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie welcomed by public as Prince Andrew misses Sandringham service
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were warmly welcomed by the public at the Sandringham Christmas Day church service.
Many royal fans had worried the sisters might not attend due to the ongoing scrutiny on their parents, Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s past ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
However, their appearance with their husbands lifted spirits and brought a cheerful atmosphere, according to GB News.
Visitors said they were happy to see the York sisters and focused on them rather than absent family members, showing the strong connection the princesses have with the public.
An eyewitness, Karen Anvil, told People's Channel “The atmosphere was overwhelmingly positive.”
“People in the queue were openly pleased and relieved to see Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie attend,” she stated.
She went on to reveal that people were “genuine disappointment” over rumours that the sisters might not attend because of their parents’ ongoing scandal.
“Many people had been discussing earlier reports suggesting they might not come,” she said.
Anil also said that she did not hear any “negative comments” directed at the York sisters, adding that “Andrew was not the focus of conversation in that setting.”
“People were focused on Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie themselves and were pleased to see them,” she said.
