King Charles finds comfort in Prince William, Kate Middleton as future heirs
Prince William’s preparation for kingship intensifies as monarch's cancer treatment enters third year
King Charles and Queen Camilla are said to be grateful to have Prince William and Kate Middleton as dedicated and capable heirs ready for the future, according to an insider.
An insider told New Idea Magazine that Prince and Princess of Wales have secretly started training for the throne.
A source told the publication that William’s preparation for the throne intensified after Charles' was diagnosed with cancer at the start of 2024.
While the King has recently shared more positive news about his health, the insider notes that he is aware he is not getting any younger.
Charles is said to feel saddened that his reign may not be a long one, but takes comfort in knowing the monarchy will be in safe and well-prepared hands with William and Kate.
“Charles and Camilla are grateful to have such dedicated and capable heirs in the wings,” the royal source revealed.
“Charles recently shared a more positive news regarding his cancer, but he is not getting any younger,” they added.
“He is saddened that his reign will not be a long one, but it is a great comfort to know that the monarchy will be in well-prepared hands with William and Kate.”
