Queen Camilla's son answers why he didn't spend Christmas with Royals
Queen Camilla's son says he takes turns in spending Christmas with the Royals
Queen Camilla’s son, Tom Parker Bowles, has revealed why he didn’t attend Christmas with the Royal Family.
Speaking to Daily Mail, Tom revealed that he has plans to spend the festive period with his kids and ex-wife, Sarah Buys.
Tom confirmed to the outlet: “I’m not [spending Christmas at Sandringham],’ he said. “Nor is my sister. It’ll be every other year, one year on, one year off.”
When asked about what he knows about the Royal Family’s Christmas plans, Tom replied: “I genuinely know nothing about it. I know there’s turkey and sprouts and church. And I have to bring a suit and a dinner jacket.”
Tom earlier spoke about his mother and father, Andrew Parker Bowles, noting that they are still civil towards each other after their sensational divorce.
“My mother and father are still great friends, and we will go down on December 27 and my mother will sometimes come,” he told People. “It is something to work towards. It’s a maturity that is a great thing if — despite a marriage sometimes not working – you can keep it together for the sake of the children and the sake of each other, then it’s a very good thing.”
