King Charles’ expedition across the Artic gets a revamp: ‘Thank God I did it young’
See King Charles’ trip in the Canadian Artic with a trip down memory lane
King Charles’s trip to the Canadian Arctic where he took up things like dog sledding in the freezing temperatures is being revisited.
What is pertinent to mention regarding this trip is that it is hailed as one of the catalysts for his conversation drives, as well as the spark that ignited his hope for humanity to live in harmony with nature.
Everything will be retraced 50 years later by naturalist and explorer Steve Backshall and will air on ITV1 under the title Steve Backshall’s Royal Arctic Challenge on 18th of December at 8.30pm.
The video shared on Buckingham Palace’s official Instagram account also shows a snippet where the monarch sits down with Steve to discuss his heydays.
