Kristen Stewart shares biggest lesson she's learned in 8 months of marriage
Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer got married in April 2025 at Casita Del Campo in Los Angeles
Kristen Stewart is reflecting on the biggest lesson she’s learned in the first eight months of marriage to wife Dylan Meyer.
The 35-year-old Oscar nominee was discussing her relationship in an Esquire interview published Tuesday, in which she highlighted the importance of carefully choosing who surrounds you.
Stewart, who wed Meyer, 38, in April, began by saying her marriage has shown her the value of having a supportive and intentional circle.
“It’s so nice to have a family. It’s so nice to not be an unmoored individual,” Stewart said. “Dylan came into my life, and I immediately was like, ‘It’s so important to handpick and curate the people that surround you.’”
The actress also praised her wife for her straightforward approach. “Dylan just does not suffer fools,” Stewart said. “I may not always seem like it, but I really am kind of a ‘nice guy.’ It’s just bolstering to be with someone that reminds you that your life is in your hands.”
Stewart and Meyer went public with their relationship in 2019, became engaged in 2021, and made their red carpet debut at the 2022 Critics’ Choice Awards and then the Academy Awards.
Earlier, in February 2024, Stewart told Rolling Stone she hopes to start a family soon. “I don’t know what my family’s going to look like, but there’s no f****** way that I don’t start acquiring kids. I really want that to happen.”
