A video has just come out that shows the last words Queen Victoria ever read to her husband Prince Albert has he passed.
The book itself is ‘Sir Walter Scott’s Peveril of the Peak’ and was published back in 1823, according to a comment left on the post by the Royal Collection Trust.
According to their report it was acquired for the Royal Library the following year for the Royal pair.
Now, years later her last words, and her book mark on page 81 has been shown to the public for the very first time.
An excerpt in her own words was also shared in the video and reads, “This book was read up till the mark in page 81, to my beloved husband during his fatal illness. And within three days of his terrible termination December 14 1861.
