Meghan Markle has reportedly given up hope of reconciling with her estranged father Thomas Markle, a royal expert has claimed.
Royal expert Roya Nikkhah took to X, formerly Twitter handle and shared The Times story which claims, “EXCLUSIVE - The Duchess of Sussex has no plans to see Thomas Markle and has given up hope of reconciling with her father.”
The expert also claims, “Meghan has not received a response to her letter delivered to him in hospital this week, nor had any contact since.”
In another tweet, Roya says, “It’s understood Meghan’s letter to her father this week set out her feelings about his decision to give several interviews to the media about their relationship.”
Meghan is thought to believe his ‘collusion with the media’ has been a major factor in the breakdown of their relationship, the expert added.
The fresh claims came days after reports Meghan reached out to father, Thomas Markle, who is currently in a Philippines hospital after having his leg amputated.
The Times has reported Meghan is said to have written him a letter, but has no plans to see him.
The report further claimed Meghan did not call her father out of fear their phone call would be overheard.
Meghan Markle Reaches Out To Thomas Markle
Meghan’s spokesperson, said this week: "With the support of reliable and trusted contacts, her [Meghan] correspondence is now safely in his hands."
The spokesperson also launched direct swipe at a reporter of the British newspaper saying, "Given that a reporter has remained at her father's bedside throughout, broadcasting each interaction and breaching clear ethical boundaries, it has been exceedingly difficult for the duchess to contact her father privately, despite her efforts over the past several days.”
