Jacob Elordi shares unfiltered take on AI and return to 'Euphoria'
Jacob Elordi has returned to 'euphoria' after a streak of acclaimed movie roles
Jacob Elordi is getting real about artificial intelligence and its impact on the industry.
During a new interview with Vanity Fair, Elordi discussed his return to Euphoria, his take on AI and what moves him.
When asked about what he thinks of AI, the Saltburn star gave a passionate answer, saying, "As a human being, I have no tolerance for it — nor the ever encroaching, constant conversation that we keep having about it..because it's so f**king boring...I would much rather kiss on the beach, and read a novel, and be sunburnt."
Speaking further of what moves him other than filmmaking, he said, "I'm moved by everything: photographs, paintings, music... We tend to slip into this thing at the moment that everything's damned. But if this is, like, the last little moment, it's still so painfully beautiful...We still have books being published. We can still go have a coffee."
"You can still hug your friend. I can still pat my dog. There's still so much to care about and so much to love," he reflected.
The Frankenstein star was also asked about returning to Euphoria after so much time. Season 2 of the show about troubled high school kids premiered in 2022. Its much-awaited season 3 is slated to air in April 2026.
Reflecting on he dynamic, Elordi said, "The first season of that show, I would bug Sam Levinson about how badly I wanted to make movies...."
But this time, he returned after making movies like On Swift Horses, Frankenstein, Priscilla, Oh, Canada, He Went That Way, and Saltburn.
The acclaimed actor said he "felt like the prodigal son returning with my bags full of stories of the movies I'd made. I was like, 'Father, look what I have gathered!'"
Jacob Elordi is currently soaking in the praise for his touching portrayal of Frankenstein's monster in Guillermo del Toro's adaptaion of Mary Shelley's gothic horror novel for Netflix.
