Andrew finds new activity as he retreats further from royal life
Andrew Mountbatten-Winsdor does not leave the Royal Lodge as he grows more isolated from royal life
Andrew Windsor is said to be spending more time alone at Royal Lodge, with insiders claiming he has begun using virtual-reality entertainment as a mean to pass.
According to reports, the “disgraced” former royal struggles with the loss of his titles and reduced status with the deadline to vacate his residence approaching.
An insider told Radar Online that Andrew’s sense of isolation deepened after learning that he has also lost some small remaining perks, including a special meal delivery arrangement.
Speaking on it, an insider said, "These days he's swapped the controller for a VR headset," adding, "The joke among the team is that he's not gaming anymore but exploring the seedier corners of virtual reality p---.”
Another royal source said that what they are seeing from Andrew “is a blend of restlessness and not really knowing where he fits anymore.”
"Since his titles were taken, he's been looking for ways to pass the time – everything from gaming to disappearing into virtual reality. That last part has definitely fueled some chatter among the people around him."
On losing remaining royal perks, the source said Andrew “used to joke about having his own Royal Deliveroo. Now even that's gone. He asked about a meal delivery and was told the service no longer applied to him."
