Hilary Swank admits mistake, 'apologises' to mom of two
The incident happened at LAX Airport involving Hilary Swank and a mom of two terminally ill children
An incident at LAX Airport over a misunderstanding led to Hilary Swank allegedly apologising to a mother of two terminally ill sons.
Jada Bafus, who was taking her children Mason, 7, and Jack, 4, to Disneyland for a Make-A-Wish trip.
But at the airport, she claimed she was next to the Million Dollar Baby star, waiting for luggage, when the actress snapped a photo of her, believing the mom-of-two was taking a snap of her 2-year-old twins.
“At baggage claim, I was walking next to Hilary Swank,” Jada’s now-deleted post on Instagram read.
“And I did a double take on her because it’s Hilary Swank and I am a fan of her movies and stuff," she continued.
But what stung Jada was that Hilary mistakenly thought she was taking a photo of her babies. “And then I took my phone out because I got distracted and was trying to find my Make-A-Wish kids and my husband."
However, the mom-of-two added, “I was trying to call him and I think I just took my phone out the wrong time. She just thought I was taking a picture of her. She was having a bad day.”
After the incident, Jada told the Daily Mail that Hilary approached her via Instagram and apologised for the misunderstanding.
“I did not expect Hilary Swank to directly talk to me,” she concluded before adding, “It was just like a ‘Whoa, I was taken aback.’”
