Kate Middleton is showing Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie that they are still valued members of the Royal family, even though their parents, Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, are not, a source has claimed.
According to Radar Online, the daughters of the “disgraced” couple have been invited to the upcoming Together at Christmas carol service by the Princess of Wales herself.
Speaking on the matter, a palace aide said that Kate shares a close bond with Beatrice and Eugenie and including them in royal traditions shows they are respected despite their parents’ troubles.
"Catherine has long kept personal ties with Beatrice and Eugenie. Inviting them to occasions such as the carol service quietly signals that they are still respected members of the family, despite their parents' highly publicized troubles,” they said.
Another source said the sisters are struggling to balance loyalty to their parents with protecting their own public image.
"Navigating loyalty to their parents while honoring their ties to the royal family is a constant challenge,” the source close to them said.
They added, “They want to support their parents, but they also recognize the need to protect their own reputations."
The insider further said that there is “widespread sympathy” for Beatrice and Eugenie in the royal family as they understand it “must be extremely hard to witness their parents' very public downfall while trying to balance family loyalty with establishing their own independent identities."
"For Beatrice and Eugenie, navigating this complex landscape will require constant careful judgment for the rest of their lives, particularly as they continue to develop their professional and philanthropic work," the source continued.
"The decisions they make now will set the tone for how they are perceived for decades. The message for them from senior royal advisers is clear: stay measured, stay independent, and avoid being engulfed by the quicksand of their parents' scandals – that is what would be absolutely disastrous for them, and would break any chance of them building trustworthy brands of their own."
