Prince William’s weariness towards his uncle has seemed to skyrocket in recent months, but at the same time he seems hell bent on protecting his cousins, similar to King Charles, who has kept Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie to causes close to his heart despite stripping their father of his titles.
Regarding this royal author Robert Jobson referenced the heir’s feelings in a piece for Hello! Magazine before saying, “those close to him [William] say he is weary of the hysteria around Andrew. The outrage. The noise. The moral grandstanding.”
But still when it comes to the sisters, “his position is direct: Beatrice and Eugenie must not be punished for their father's alleged sins.”
This is precisely why “necessary action was taken – by King Charles, in consultation with his eldest son and heir – and it had to be,” the author admits.
In addition, “this is not sentimentality. It is judgment. Accountability belongs to Andrew, not to his daughters,” Mr Jobson also admitted.
A similar statement comes via royal commentator Neil Sean who just spoke to Fox News and revealed that in a show of solidarity, the former-York sisters have even received invites to Kate’s Together at Christmas service.
This is because “this is Catherine’s project, and she has the final say — very similar to the way Prince William operates Earthshot. Above all, yes, the Royal Family wants to be seen as united amid what has been a very difficult year.”
However, “This puts the sisters in a very difficult dilemma,” Mr Sean adds, because on one hand if they don’t end up in attendance the news will mix with rumors of them “snubbing” the ‘prestigious invite’ and “if they do attend, they know there could be a media circus with them at the centre of attention,” he also added before concluding.
