Prince Harry snubbed as 'Prince Henry of Wales' on Queen Elizabeth's page?

Some royal fans, not Britons of course, may be surprised not to find Prince Harry's familiar name on a page dedicated to Queen Elizabeth II on the royal family's official website.

The late Queen's grandchildren are mentioned with their familiar names – Prince William, Eugenie, Beatrice, Peter and  Zara – but the US-based Prince Harry is referred to as Prince Henry of Wales.

It's not publicly known whether the naming convention was always the same or if the name has been changed. However, the naming doesn't appear to be related to Prince Harry's ongoing feud with his father, King Charles III, and brother, William.

The paragraph about the late monarch's grandchildren reads: "The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh had eight grandchildren: Peter and Zara Phillips (b. 1977 and 1981); Prince William of Wales and Prince Henry of Wales (b. 1982 and 1984); Princess Beatrice of York and Princess Eugenie of York (b. 1988 and 1990) and The Lady Louise Windsor and Viscount Severn (b. 2003 and 2007)."

For those unaware, Prince Harry uses his nickname rather than his full formal title, Prince Henry.

His full name is Henry Charles Albert David, and he's been known as Harry since childhood.

Prince William is also known by his title, Prince William of Wales, rather than his full name, William Arthur Philip Louis.

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, currently lives in the US with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The couple left the UK after stepping down as working members of the royal family in 2020.
