Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor deprived of two more royal titles

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has lost two more titles a month after King Charles removed his title of prince.

Citing a report in The Sun, Express UK reported that Andrew has lost the membership of the Order of the Garter, an order of chivalry and that his Knight of the Grand Cross of the Royal Victoria Order as part of action against him over his alleged links to former sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

According to the publication, Andrew is currently in the process of relinquishing the lease on the property and moving to a more modest home on the Sandringham Estate.

The report said that Andrew's move to Sandringham is expected to occur in February 2026.

The removal of Andrew from the orders was announced in the London Gazette at midday.

The announcement said, “THE KING has directed that the appointment of Andrew Albert Christian Edward MOUNTBATTEN-WINDSOR to be a Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter, dated 23 April 2006, shall be cancelled and annulled and that his name shall be erased from the Register of the said Order.

“THE KING has directed that the appointment of Andrew Albert Christian Edward MOUNTBATTEN-WINDSOR to be a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order, dated 19 February 2011, shall be cancelled and annulled and that his name shall be erased from the Register of the said Order.”

According to local media, the king's younger brother just has one remaining title of that of vice-admiral in the Royal Navy. 

 Secretary John Healey has been quoted as saying that  the government would “work to remove” this from him.
