Prince Harry's former love is 'happier than ever' after breakup
Price Harry's ex Chelsy David is glad she walked away from him
Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex's ex girlfriend Chelsy Davy is said to be happier than ever following their breakup.
Harry and Chelsy dated from 2004 to 2010. It was one of the young royal's most significant relationship before meeting Meghan Markle.
A friend of Chelsy has told Daily Mail recently that she has "never been happier" than she is now.
Chelsy, who is married to Sam Cutmore-Scott now, has reportedly never looked back since the ending of her relationship with Harry.
"It’s strange to think of the parallel life she would be living if she’d stayed with Harry," a friend stated.
Adding, "But that was a long, long time ago. That break-up was probably the best thing that ever happened to her."
Notably, the reason behind their breakup has been speculated to be Chelsy Davy's strong reluctance to committing to royal life.
She confirmed in 2016, "It was so full-on: crazy and scary and uncomfortable. I found it very difficult when it was bad. I couldn't cope."
"I was trying to be a normal kid and it was horrible," she added to The Times.
Notably, a royal biographer and Majesty magazine Editor-in-Chief Ingrid Seward also told Mirror recently that Chelsy knew royal life wasn't for her.
"She (Chelsy) knew, as Cressida [Bonas, whom Harry dated from 2012 to 2014] did, that royal life just wasn’t for her. She was intelligent enough to see that from an early age," Ingrid said.
While Prince Harry stepped down from the royal role in 2020, the royal expert claimed that this decision wouldn't have been enough to salvage the relationship.
The Duke of Sussex now live in California with wife Meghan Markle and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
