At least four people have died in a mass shooting at a family gathering in northern California on Saturday night.

Police officials have confirmed that four people have died, and the victims range from juveniles to adults.

In this connection, a spokesperson for the San Joaquin County sheriff’s office said, “We have confirmed at this time that there was a banquet hall where a family was celebrating.”

Further details have been confirmed by a spokesperson for the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, who said that approximately 14 individuals were struck by gunfire, and four victims have been confirmed deceased.

Concerning the situation, investigators are exploring all avenues while some early indications suggest this may be a targeted incident.

Police officials have confirmed that they have received reports before 6pm of a shooting that occurred near the 1900 block of Lucile Avenue in Stockton, approximately 50 miles east of San Francisco.

The shooting occurred inside the banquet hall which shares parking space with other businesses.

Anyone who may have information, video footage, or who may have witnessed any part of this incident is advised to contact the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s office immediately.

California has one of the most rigorous laws on guns in the US, and has faced challenges in recent years.

In addition, the Supreme Court expanded US gun rights as it invalidated a New York law restricting gun rights, imperilling similar regulation in California.
