Jamie Campbell Bower reveals whether Vecna nodded to GOT's Night King
Jamie Campbell Bower's Vecna reminded fans of GOT's Night King in a 'Stranger Things' season 5 scene
Jamie Campbell Bower has revealed whether Vecna’s hand motions were a reference to Game of Thrones’ Night King.
In episode four of Stranger Things season 5, Vecna emerges to fight off military men and resurrect his demogorgons.
In the sequence, Vecna raises his arms to bring the demogorgons back to life.
"It actually wasn't a reference for me in that action sequence," Bower shared. "Maybe that particular physicality could have come from when we were shooting [season] 4 and Vecna is hanging in the attic."
He added to Entertainment Weekly, "There was a particular moment where I wanted to do something that was a reference to Hellraiser 3, and we tried it. I was really excited about it. I did it and I was like, 'Did it look sick?' And it was just silence. They're like, 'You might want to come and look at it.' And it looked awful! So I was like, 'Well, I'm never gonna say anything ever again.'"
Bower is happy his Stranger Things super villain got a glow-up in season 5.
Back in October, when Netflix dropped the Stranger Things season 5 trailer, which gave a clear look at Vecna, Jamie responded by tweeting, "Snatched."
When asked about the tweet, the actor responded, "Have you seen his nails? My nails and my waist are looking so good. I'm so happy she's had her glow up."
Stranger Things season 5 Vol. 1 is streaming on Netflix.
