Prince William leaves England for royal duties
Prince William was not accompanied by his wife, Kate Middleton, as he arrived in North Wales
Prince William left Kate Middleton and his three children at home to travel hundreds of kilometers to North Wales as part of royal duties.
The future king shared his pictures from the visit with a statement that said, "Great to be back in North Wales and a first visit to Colwyn Bay."
He said "Starting the day hearing about the work of the Marine Conservation Society on the Welsh seafront. A brilliant environmental charity that’s been dedicated to protecting the ocean for over 40 years."
William added it was "Amazing to also hear about their Youth Ocean Network — a passionate group of young people driving change and shaping the future of ocean conservation."
Lauding the group's work he wrote, "Inspiring work that shows the power of people coming together to protect our planet."
The Prince of Wales has shown great interest in fighting climate change during the last few years.
He recently travelled to Brazil for the first time to attend the Earthshot Prize award ceremony
Pop star Kylie Minogue and former Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel were among celebrities joining William for awards ceremony for his multi-million dollar environmental prize.
The British heir to the throne launched the Earthshot Prize in 2020 with the aim of finding innovative solutions to pressing environmental problems.
This year's winners were announced at a star-studded event held in Rio de Janeiro on November 5.
