Meghan Markle is being accused of integrating the Sussex title into her personal brand to prevent its removal by Prince William in the future.
This comes as several reports claim that the Prince of Wales intends to strip Prince Harry and Meghan of their Sussex title.
In a recent move to utilize the title, Meghan had her manager announce her as the Duchess of Sussex when a Harper's Bazaar interviewer came to her place to interview her. The interviewer was the only other person there other than Meghan and the manager.
Similarly, the Duchess’ title was announced when she met a group of youngsters at the La Brea tar pits in Los Angeles.
The Royalist publication has suggested that Meghan’s frequent public use of the title is "pre-emptive branding" to establish the title as hers before it is removed.
The prediction comes from the removal of all titles of the former Prince Andrew amid new information about his links to disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
While Andrew had already stepped down as a working royal after his links to Epstein were discovered in 2010, he retained his Prince and Duke of York titles, which the King ultimately removed himself.
Now, he’s known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
He was also forced to vacate the Royal Lodge at Windsor and will be moving to the King’s Sandrigham estate.
