Elon Musk has shared big futuristic claims regarding his humanoid robot Optimus during a recent Tesla’s shareholder meeting.
According to Musk, in this world, people and leaders always talk about eliminating poverty and giving everyone amazing medical medicare. This seems plausible now with Tesla’ Optimus robot.
“With humanoid robots, you can actually give everyone amazing medical care. Optimus will ultimately be better than the best human surgeon with a level of precision that is beyond human,” SpaceX CEO said.
He continued, “People always talked about eliminating poverty, but Optimus will actually eliminate poverty.”
He called its upcoming robot a revolutionary milestone that could transform and serve humanity, outperforming the best surgeons in the world.
Musk also hinted that these humanoid robots can easily tackle problems like labor crises, wealth inequality and gaps, and scarcity of services and resources.
He further added that Tesla Optimus robot might soon host human consciousness through Neuralink integration in less than 20 years.
“With the help of Neuralink, one has a snapshot of somebody’s mind and then uploads that approximate snapshot to Optimus' body. I think at some point that technology will become possible. It's probably less than 20 years,” Musk said.
The Tesla Optimus robot was first unveiled in 2021 as a humanoid robot, meant to perform repetitive, dangerous, and dull tasks related to humanity. The height of the robot is around 5 feet 8 inches tall. It weighs about 56 kilograms, and can walk and lift objects.
