Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer officially divorced yet?

While separated in 2016, Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer have been navigating the long divorce proceedings for years.

Back in 2020, the jewellry designer first filed for divorce.

Now, according to TMZ, the former couple have reached an understanding to end their marriage.

But that does not mean the former pair are legally divorced because there are still technicalities.

For one, a judge must approve the deal both parties reached.

On the other hand, not all financial issues between them are settled.

However, it is promising that the duo agreed to use a private judge to handle these issues while they hash out other matters related to the divorce.

With the pair having two children, Maguire is seeking private mediation to resolve the child and spousal support issue.

The pair reportedly also has a prenuptial agreement.

Married for nearly a decade, Meyer previously looked back at her divorce from Maguire.

Telling The Inside Edit podcast, she said, "I actually think that my divorce has been one of my greatest teachers, because it teaches you patience."

After speaking generally, Meyer went down into specifics.

"I now have an ex-husband who is my best friend and would do anything for me, and I would do anything for him — anything in the world," the actress added.

"[He is] the best dad, the best ex-husband, the best friend [and] the most generous," she concluded.
