Glen Powell has revealed that he took tips from Tom Cruise over sprinting for his new film, The Running Man.
The 37-year-old is currently starring in Edgar Wright’s directorial film, which is based on a Stephen King novel of the same name.
During a promotional interview, Glen was asked to confirm if he spoke to Tom about running?
The Anyone but You actor stated, “Yeah, I mean he is the running man. There’s actually a compilation I found online of Cruise running. It’s like 30 minutes.”
He opened on the Drew Barrymore Show, “Also like when you’re doing a movie that called The Running Man, you don’t want to have a bad run.”
Powell stated that he spoke to multiple sprinting coaches for training, but they also suggested him to take advice from the only actor who knows how to run.
“So I talked to like different sprinting coaches and I was like how do I run properly and they said there’s only one actor that knows how to run… It’s Tom Cruise”, added the Twisters actor.
The actor revealed that the Top Gun: Maverick star was quite helpful. “I was like well I have his number so yeah he was very helpful.”
For the unversed, Cruise is literally known for his iconic run in his popular action franchise, Mission: Impossible.
