Disney+ unveiled an impressive slate of Korean content and a major renewal during its Asia Pacific showcase at Hong Kong Disneyland.

The streamer announced that Perfect Crown, starring IU and Byeon Woo-seok, will premiere globally in 2026.

Set in a reimagined modern Korea under a constitutional monarchy, the romantic comedy follows Grand Prince Wan as he faces a royal power struggle and enters a marriage of convenience with Heeju, a conglomerate heiress.

The series, directed by Park Joon-hwa (Alchemy of Souls, What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim) and written by Yu Ain, was previously titled Wife of a 21st Century Grand Prince.

Disney+ also confirmed a second season for the highly anticipated political drama Made in Korea, starring Hyun Bin and Jung Woo-sung.

Set in the 1970s, it follows ambitious KCIA agent Baek Kitae, who secretly operates as a smuggler to climb the ranks, only to face off against an unyielding prosecutor.

The first season premieres December 24 with a two-episode debut, and season two is already in production for 2026.

The platform further revealed details for Portraits of Delusion, a mystery drama starring Suzy and Kim Seon-ho, and The Remarried Empress, a fantasy royal series featuring Shin Mina, Lee Jong-suk, Ju Ji-hoon, and Lee See-young—Disney’s most expensive Korean production to date.

Additional projects include The Manipulated, Battle of Fates, Gold Land, A Shop for Killers season two, and Are You Sure?! with BTS stars Jimin and Jungkook.

Disney+ also teased an anime adaptation of Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding, set for 2027.
