Prince Harry, Meghan photo controversy with Kardashians: Truth revealed

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle came under intense scrutiny after their appearance at Kris Jenner’s lavish birthday bash at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s Beverly Hills mansion on Saturday, November 8.

Kris, who had marked her 70th birthday, and Kim Kardashian had shared photos from the event, which included Harry and Meghan. However, the photos of the Sussexes were quietly deleted sparking a controversy and mystery about what went down.

The appearance had already raised eyebrows, notably at Harry for a ‘disrespectful’ move, since Remembrance Day events had already kicked off across the pond by the Royal Family. The solemn occasion holds special significance to the royals as it honours the fallen soldiers of World War II.

King Charles’s younger son, who served in the British army for years, also marks the occasion despite his move to the U.S. in 2020 with Meghan. Hence, the sight of a jolly looking Duke and Duchess of Sussex didn’t sit well with the public.

According to the insiders, cited by DeuxMoi, the removal of the photos was linked to Meghan not wearing the traditional red Remembrance poppy which is a “small but symbolically significant detail in the U.K. during November”. Harry had worn his over the suit.

Meanwhile, another source noted that there had been a consent form given to the guests about the photos of them taken inside the party. The guests had the option to select ‘no’ share the photos online and Harry and Meghan had chosen that, per People Magazine.

A similar confirmed the claims noting that “furious” Sussexes personally asked for the “unapproved” photos to be deleted, per Rob Shuter of ShuterScoop.

“They were polite but firm—nothing goes online without their sign-off,” the source said. “They’ve built their brand on control, and they weren’t about to let a Kardashian post ruin that.”
