Meghan Markle keeps fiddling with royal schedule to stay relevant

Meghan Markle is set to bring some festive cheer to screens on December 3rd but the timing is sure to spark a clash of royal and streaming attention.

The Duchess will premiere a Christmas episode of With Love, Meghan on Netflix, coinciding with the official state visit of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier to Windsor Castle.

The special promises seasonal delights, with the 44 year old sharing her favourite Christmas traditions, festive crafts, and holiday recipes alongside a host of celebrity guests.

Meghan announced the release on Instagram, inviting fans to “embrace traditions and make new ones this holiday season” as she prepares to spread holiday cheer from her own royal-adjacent corner of the globe.

Just in time for the festive season, Meghan Markle is bringing holiday cheer to screens with a brand-new episode of With Love, Meghan but the release is set to coincide with a very different kind of royal event.

Meanwhile, back in the UK, King Charles and Queen Camilla will don their hosting hats at Windsor Castle as they welcome German President and his wife, Elke Büdenbender, for a three day state visit.

The engagement marks the fifth German state visit to the UK since 1958 and follows the King and Queen’s own state trip to Germany in 2023.

Charles’s first overseas outing as monarch. The visit promises formal ceremonies, diplomatic meetings, and cultural engagements, with the royal couple leading the proceedings.

Meghan’s new festive instalment comes after the show’s second series, which featured appearances from Tan France, Chrissy Teigen, and Jay Shetty.

The Sussexes first inked their Netflix deal in 2020 after stepping back from royal duties, with reports valuing the agreement at over £74 million.
