Prince Harry is sending a clear message to his brother Prince about making amends after years of silence.
The Duke of Sussex has openly called for a reconciliation with his family back in March of this year after he lost his security appeal against the UK Home Office.
He reunited with his father King Charles in September and now it seems his efforts are now targeting his brother as he declares missing their relationship and close bond in an emotional letter to honour Remembrance Day, according to Body language expert Judi James.
She pointed out that Harry had chosen specific vocabulary in his essay which is a major indicator of how much he misses William.
She said that Harry’s statement ‘Though currently, I may live in the United States, Britain is, and always will be, the country I proudly served and fought for’ sounds like a temporary arrangement.
Judi said that Harry could have written ‘Though I now live in the United States’, which would have indicated a little more permanency. She said the word ‘currently’ sounds like people use it to say something like ‘currently, I'm single’ or ‘currently, I'm unemployed’ etc.
She explained to The Mirror that this also sounds like a “teaser” for a much-anticipated reunion which may be “on the horizon” as he is “homesick”.
The body language expert also pointed out that Harry appears to be “apologising” to the US audiences for perhaps his “ridiculous” admission but in reality he is not sorry for missing a big part of his life that was in the UK, including the royal family.
There is a sense of longing, almost melancholic, in his words as he reminisces the past and years of his military service.
Other royal experts have also labelled the essay as a ‘love letter’ to Britain in which he expressed his devotion to home country and pledging his loyalties despite the years of grievances between them.
Judi believes that it is also representative of the longing he feels for his family, especially with his elder brother with whom he shared a special connection after the tragic death of their mother Princess Diana.
“Harry was a man who grew up and cut his teeth on banter, especially with his brother William,” Judi explained.
“Interviews back in the day show their banter together was relentless and there is a suggestion that in promoting the word so strongly and emphatically here Harry is implying (perhaps subconsciously) how much he misses his older brother.”
