Kate Hudson confesses turning down 'major acting roles' to prioritze 'family'

Kate Hudson has made a rare statement about her career.
The 46-year-old star marked her acting debut in 1998 drama Desert Blue. Following the success of the show, she played multiple supporting roles in several films.
But Kate has made sure that her career does not affect her personal life and family. To maintain a balance between work and personal life, she admitted turning down many roles so that her children doesn’t get neglected.
According to the Running Point star, it was not at all difficult saying no to work to prioritize her family. It was an "easy" choice.
She elaborated, “There are sacrifices I've made along the way to be at home, a lot of opportunities I had to say no to, which came as an easy no.”
While talking to Variety, Hudson opened, "as Rani started to get older, it was time to start making career decisions that I felt like I could make."
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days actress feels proud that she was able to make them without being dependent on money.
"And I got really lucky that I could make them not based on money”, she stated.
Work Wise, Kate Hudson will be starring musical drama film Song Sung Blue alongside Hugh Jackman. The movie is slated to release on December 25, 2025.
