Sydney Sweeney gets praised by 'Christy' director for her dedication
Sydney Sweeney's 'Christy' is slated to release on November 28
Sydney Sweeney will be playing a challenging role in the upcoming film, Christy.
The American biographical sports drama is based on former professional boxer Christy Martin.
Sweeney received extensive training for months to transform into the legend. She had a strict training which she did effortlessly without throwing any tantrum.
Director David Michôd feels extremely proud of the Anyone But You star’s commitment.
"Sydney's commitment was clear to everyone that she was doing the work, doing the training, doing all the nutritional stuff... That was all clear to everyone pretty quickly," he said.
While praising Sweeney’s work ethics, Michôd stated, "Her commitment to work in general - I just loved [it]. Every day Sydney was on time, turned up to work with a big smile on her face, wasn't disappearing back to her trailer."
According to him, the Euphoria actress did everything with a smile on her face all day and then left at the end of the day with a smile on her face.
“For a director that is just gold dust”, said the director.
The sports drama, which is slated to release on November 28, features Sydney along with Ben Foster, Merritt Wever, Jess Gabor, Katy M. O’Brian and Tony Cavalero.
