King Charles III reportedly dodged his estranged son Prince Harry during his presence in the UK.

The 76-year-old allegedly pretended to have a medical appointment during his cancer treatment to cut short an uncomfortable meeting with the Duke of Sussex, according to a royal biographer.

He was forced to use his ill health as an excuse to avoid Harry amid growing tension between the Sussexese and the royal family over the California-based couple's allegations against senior royals.

Royal biographer Robert Jobson's upcoming new book 'The Windsor Legacy' claims that the monarch was annoyed and exhausted by his son and his partner Meghan Markle's constant attacks on the royal family at the time, which came with the launch of the Sussexes' Netflix docuseries in which The Firm was brutally mocked.

The royal author wrote: 'The King, who'd broken the news of his cancer to Harry in a phone call, had started treatment straight away. He was undergoing chemotherapy and felt a strong need for peace and quiet.'

However, the expert went to share his opinion on the moment when the Duke flew uninvited to see his cancer-stricken dad amid the fallout from 'Spare' and Netflix series.

Jabson explained the reason why the meeting was short between father-son duo, writing, 'The last thing he needed was any drama - yet, without an invitation, Harry took it upon himself to fly over to see his father. The King had planned to spend the weekend at Sandringham in Norfolk, so he was irritated at being forced to wait in London until his son arrived.'

He continued, 'Their meeting was brief, around 30 minutes. Wary of letting Harry prolong it, Charles had pre-arranged for the meeting to be interrupted with a warning that it was time for a medical procedure.'

After spending few minutes with the ailing King, Harry left.

However, Jabson, in his book, claimed, 'In fact, there was no procedure scheduled and there never had been. Instead, the King flew straight to Sandringham on a helicopter that had been standing by for his delayed journey.'

The royal commentator also revealed why future monarch William was not the part of that meeting, saying, 'He had zero interest in spending time with his brother.'

It's to mention here that King Charles cancer treatment still continues, as the Palace previously announced the monarch won't be set free by the disease during 2025.
