Drew Barrymore spills secret to her beauty journey in her 50s
‘Never Been Kissed’ actress opens up about her beauty and fitness routine at 50
Drew Barrymore has recently spilled the secret to her beauty and fitness routine in her 50s.
The Never Been Kissed actress shares that she “just went through a round of hormone therapy” in a new interview with PEOPLE.
“Everyone said it would be trial and error, and I just went through a lot of error,” says Drew.
The Charlie’s Angels actress explained that she “did not recognise the person I saw in the mirror. I was like, ‘Is that the crypt keeper? No, that's me’”.
Reflecting on her sallow skin and puffy from hormones, Drew opens up that she “just didn’t feel good about myself”.
“She took action. Every time I feel that way, I'm like, ‘Okay, buckle down: eat cleaner, prioritise sleep, start exercising a little bit more, and just get yourself back to centre,’” points out The Drew Barrymore Show host.
The Blended actress reveals, “My therapist and mentor Dr. Barry Michels helped me write out a list of seven healthy habits for me that work, and I just get back to that list.”
“It's actually faded over time, and I retrace it with a black pen so I can still read it perfectly because it helps,” mentions Drew.
The actress notes that it’s “not good to stay stuck and not feeling confident or attractive or good about yourself”.
“So, these are just little steps you can take,” adds Drew.
