Liam Hemsworth admits being reluctant to replace Henry Cavill in 'The Witcher'
Liam Hemsworth assures fans of one thing ahead of the release of 'The Witcher' season 4
Liam Hemsworth has garnered massive backlash for his casting as Geralt in The Witche season 4.
Previously, the character was played by Henry Cavill in the first three seasons of the most-loved show.
Due to some 'creative difference' with the makers, the Man of Steel actor stepped down from the role.
Following his departure, Hemsworth took over the character, which triggered many of Cavill fans, who believed that the latter should have finished the show.
The 35-year-old, during an interview, revealed that he was reluctant to replace the British actor when he was initially offered the part.
Liam said, "When I first got approached, I was pretty reluctant at that point. [I had] a lot of concerns and questions about it all."
Now that he is heading near to the release of the fourth season of The Witcher, the Hunger Games actor has assured fans that he is going to remain loyal to the original craft.
He told RadioTimes, "I think if I wasn't a fan myself, if I didn't care about it, I wouldn't have come on board.”
“The reason I came on board was because I was a fan, and because I thought that I could do justice to this character. I thought that could bring an interesting interpretation to this part of the story”, Hemsworth confessed.
The Witcher season 4 is set premiere on Netflix on October 30.
