Sarah Ferguson's marriage to Prince Andrew: Family's rection revealed

Sarah Ferguson, who remains in the headlines for her ongoing association with Prince Andrew even after their divorce, reportedly left her own family in shock with her one decision about the Duke of York.

A royal expert has revealed shocking details about Fergie's family and their reaction to her decision to tie the knot with the royal. They were unsure about her motives for making the royal her life partner.

Andrew and Ferguson married just over a year after they first met at Ascot in June 1985. There were also mixed feelings in the royal family.

It emerges amid reports that the Duke, who has already been stripped of his military titles and is banned from using his much cherished HRH honorific, could be banned from Buckingham Palace, Sandringham and Windsor Castle in new sanctions after latest revelations.

The couple are in deep waters these days due to their connections to the convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Lownie writes in his unauthorised biography: "Even Sarah’s own family were not sure about the relationship. With characteristic candour, her father stated: "She’s either in love with Andrew or in love with the royal family and I think it’s the latter."

The author went on to claim that the royals had known Fergie all her life as she was part of royal circles and shared their interests in outdoor pursuits, in dogs, horses, even charades.

Compared to William and Harry's late mother Diana, she was easy-going and clearly made the royal happy, but according to an insider: "Fergie couldn’t stop talking, and inappropriately."

The royal expert penned in the book: "There were also concerns that there might be scandals in her private life."

A Palace source confided in journalist Stuart White that the worry was "Fergie had put it about a little, and was a “game girl".

The author continued: "That phrase was used to me and didn’t have anything to do with liking grouse moors".’

One pal told Lownie: "While she was enormously happy, she was petrified about what she was letting herself in for."

Ferguson's father was in shock to know that his daughter was in love with Andrew. He first assumed as she did so for her love with the royal family.

Andrew and Ferguson's relationship took a surprising turn when the two decided to continue living together even after their divorce in 1996. Despite separating officially in 1992, they've maintained an unusually close bond, often appearing together at family events and royal occasions.
