Virginia orchard breaks world record by growing world’s largest peach
A giant peach, which belongs to a specific variety known as PF-27A, sparks attention of people worldwide
A peach grown in the US state of Virginia has officially set a new record and earned recognition from the Guinness World Records for growing the world’s heaviest peach.
The massive fruit which weighed 1.83 pounds and it was picked earlier this month at Chiles Peach Orchard, located in the Crozet area.
It has surpassed the previous record, with its immense size attributed to a combination of favorable weather conditions and a bit of luck.
The peach belongs to a specific variety known as PF-27A. It was sent to Guinness World Records, which later certified it as the heaviest peach ever recorded.
The owner of the orchard, Henry Chiles, told a local television channel that there had been no deliberate attempt to grow the world's largest peach.
It has been observed that unusual size was likely a result of favorable weather conditions this year.
The successful cultivation of this unusually large fruit record for peaches from a Virginia orchard sets the world for peaches. This is a testament to the combination of favorable environmental conditions.
Nonetheless, this marks the successful cultivation of unusually large fruit. This highlights the potential for more agricultural achievements in future.
