Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, who recently passed away, died at peace in his home at Montana.
The 43-year-old media personality supported her former spouse and once-manager in his final days, by visiting him frequently with their kids.
A source close to Blackstock told Us Weekly that his last days were the most time he spent with his family. “Brandon lived a pretty quiet life in Montana. That was how he liked it. Even though he worked in entertainment in the past, that was not his personality. He was at home in Montana.”
The late talent manager preferred a private life as the insider added, “He had his ranch and rodeo, but he preferred to go under the radar. Some of the people who worked with him at Starstruck [Entertainment] ended up moving to Montana to work on the rodeo with him.”
Blackstock was residing at the same ranch when his health “took a very bad turn” last month.
During the time he “was focusing on his treatment,” he also “spent a ton of time with his family in the last six months, more than ever before,” said the source.
Although Clarkson “was not caring for Brandon,” since she lived away because of her schedule, “She did spend a lot of time traveling with her kids to be with him,” they added.
Clarkson and Blackstock shared daughter River Rose and son Remington James. Blackstock also shared daughter Savannah and son Seth, with his first wife, Melissa Ashworth.
