Madonna can't believe latest career achievement: 'I'm still pinching myself'
Madonna's latest album 'Confessions II' was released on July 3
Madonna is over the moon after her new album, Confessions II debuted in the top spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart after more than 20 years.
The Queen of Pop took to her Instagram account on Monday to mark her music milestone and posted snaps of her promo for the new LP.
In a gushing note along with the photos, she wrote, "Words cannot express how grateful and surprised I am by the incredible reception Confessions on a Dance Floor has received."
She then expressed her gratitude to her team and especially her fans.
"Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this and who has helped make this dream come true. Especially my fans," Madonna noted. "The goodwill and positivity have been incredible.
"I’m still pinching myself. I can’t believe it’s # 1 all around the world. My dream was to make people dance this summer!! To bring people JOY!" Madonna concluded. "Dreams do come true. Thanks and love!"
Beginning with 1984's Like a Virgin, the singer has now landed 10 albums at Number One in the US, and has become just the fourth artist to rack up 10 Number Ones on both the Billboard 200 and the Hot 100, joining the Beatles, Taylor Swift and Drake, Billboard reports.
