The cause of The Walking Dead actress Kelley Mack's untimely death has been unveiled by her family.
The voiceover artist passed away August 2 at the age of 33, as confirmed by her sister Kathryn via Instagram August 5.
“It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley,” Kathryn’s statement read. “Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go.”
The family of the famed Addy from season nine of the AMC series confirmed to The New York Times that Mack died from aggressive tumor that attacked her central nervous system.
Moreover, before the demise of the actress also it was made public that she had a rare type of cancerous brain tumor, midline glioma, which develops in the midline structures of the brain, such as brainstem, thalamus and spinal cord (as per Mayo Clinic).
In January 2025, she updated her fans about her health when she underwent a surgery which resulted in loss of her ability to walk.
"Due to the biopsy surgery on my spinal cord," Kelley took to Instagram to share about her medical condition. "I have lost the use of my right leg and most of my left leg, so I now get around with a walker and a wheelchair.”
