Britney Spears baby adoption drama reveals tragic truth: report
Britney Spears’ recent adoption announcement has a devastating story behind
Britney Spears appeared to be joking when she recently announced that she has “adopted a beautiful baby girl” as it was later clarified that she has not actually adopted a child.
The 43-year-old pop icon was thought to be playing a prank on her social media followers and they might have laughed it off but an insider shared that there is a tragic side to the joke.
“Britney’s terrified she’s lost her boys for good. The idea of adopting a daughter isn’t just a joke. It’s her way of coping with that pain,” a source told RadarOnline.
The Toxic hitmaker told her fans on Instagram that she has become a mother to a baby girl named, Lennon London Spears.
However, Spears, who shares sons Sean Preston, 19, and Jayden, 18, with ex-husband Kevin Federline, 46, dealing with painful feelings about motherhood because of her kids’ absence from her life.
“She’s constantly talking about babies, about motherhood. It’s not random,” a family member told the outlet. “She wants to adopt because she feels like she’s already lost the chance to be a mother to Sean and Jayden. She’s scared they’re never coming back into her life in a real way.”
Spears previously claimed that she has adopted a daughter back in January as well, but ended up deleting it.
“These aren’t just stunts or trolling. They come from a place of deep longing. Britney’s grieving her boys while trying to show the world she’s OK — but she’s not,” a close pal shared.
Her sons reportedly moved to Hawaii with Federline and his wife in 2023 and do not share a close bond with the singer.
The source added, “She jokes to soften the blow. But behind every post is a mother who fears she’ll never truly be one again.”
