Kensington Palace shares exciting update as Prince William marks big win
Prince William jets off to important engagement after wrapping French State Visit
Prince William jumped straight back into his royal duties after supporting King Charles during the French State Visit.
The Prince of Wales jetted off to attend an important game, as the Women’s Football team played their group match to defend their title in Euro 2025.
Kensington Palace shared an update on the exciting match as the Lionesses won against Netherlands in Zurich on Wednesday.
“A big 4-0 win in the group stage — and what a set of goals! Off the mark and onto the next one. Let’s go @lionesses! [fire emoji and football emoji] #WEURO2025,” the message read alongside the carousel post.
Apart from the highlights of the thrilling match, the William’s team shared glimpses of the future king attending the private celebrations afterwards.
William had arrived at Stadion Letzigrund just hours after the royal family bid farewell to the French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife.
Along with his wife Kate Middleton, Prince William had attended the glitzy State Banquet at Windsor Castle – the first one to be held at the venue since 2014.
The visit from William, who is the patron of the England’s Football Association, came after fans were left disgruntled when the future king did not attend the winning match against Spain in 2022.
But the royal is making up to fans as he shows his utmost support to the women’s team.
