Even the future king breaks a nervous sweat every now and then, as proved by Prince William.
The Prince of Wales made a surprise visit to St. George's Park on Monday, June 30, to support the Lionesses ahead of the UEFA Women’s Euros kickoff on July 2.
In his role as FA President, William, 42, joined the squad at England’s national football centre and even helped prepare striker Aggie Beever-Jones’s no. 19 jersey using a heat press.
“It’s a lot of pressure,” he joked as he carefully pressed the lettering onto the shirt.
After being told there was a slight crease in the jersey, he laughed and said “Hopefully the letters are already on” the shirts he was gifted for his children, George, Charlotte, and Louis.
The prince also took part in the Made for This Game season — a grassroots session inspired by the Lionesses’ 2022 victory. There, he watched matches involving students from local schools and chatting with young players and coaches.
After meeting the squad and receiving a briefing from coach Sarina Wiegman, William presented the official tournament shirts to the players and ended the day with a group photo.
