Kate Middleton seemingly left fans disappointed after she opted out of a significant royal event as Prince William continued on without her.
The Princess of Wales was set to attend the second day of Royal Ascot on Wednesday but Kensington Palace revealed that the royal would not be attending in a last-minute change.
According to reports, the decision has caused quite a frenzy at the Palace and there have been concerns about her health following her nine-month cancer journey last year.
When Kate announced that she was in remission, she was forthright about still experiencing ‘good days and bad days’, hence she is expecting that the public would understand her side since her battle is not yet over.
“[Kate] is hoping the public will be patient since she is ‘not out of the woods quite yet’, royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital. “She has acknowledged having to be sensible, listening to what her body is telling her as she eases back to public life.”
The expert also revealed that while Princess Catherine is making “steady progress”, this announcement was “confirmation that she’ll remain cautious, flexible and measured with her health taking precedence”.
She added, “We should expect similar last-minute adjustments since navigating such challenging health issues isn’t easy.”
It seems that while future Queen is easing back into her royal duties, she will be prioritising her health, which means fans may be disappointed to miss their 'favourite royal' at key events.
